Re: Update time?

Thanks for that, Dave. I've been slowly testing things but holding off on the move until all the bits and pieces seem totally ready for the new versions. The idea of going back to an HTPC from the appliance model is still holding me back. That and the thought of wading through the new music system (...

Sony CX777ES

I have two of these in great shape. I took them out of commission in favor of an NMT and storage arrays over a year ago.

I had three. I sold one on eBay for about $175. Shipping ran about $50.

I'll take $100 plus actual shipping from any of my Cinemar friends (that means YOU).

Re: Update time?

Sigh... HTPC it is. It's all that "moving parts" stuff that drove me crazy the last couple of times. I did the TheaterTek approach - which worked pretty well when it worked - and tried ZoomPlayer and others to see if anything would be reliably consistent as changers. Nothing was. Sounds like nothing...

Re: Update time?

Wow - You are still alive! Good to see you. Great to be here, as always; and great to see you still here. I keep lurking... waiting for things to be different enough to be worth the trouble to re-build everything. Looks like we're just about there. I don't expect to be the pioneer this time; just t...

Re: Update time?

I figured the SlinkE was pretty much past it's time.

Are there ANY appliances for movie playback being supported? I'll purchase something new and re-process all the ISOs to file folders if that's what it takes. If not, I guess the old HTPC method is the only approach?

Update time?

Looking for some feedback. I've been lurking... waiting for v4 to get mature enough to be worth the trouble of dumping my old work. I hope some of you will give me some feedback. Here's what's actually in USE in my HA/AV/ML world: - XM Radio - Music Lobby (using J. River on the back-end) - Caller ID...

Re: AUGH! Make it PLAY! Yer killin' me, Smalls!

Thought I'd pop back in with my latest on this. DVD Lobby is dead. It is dead because all my movies play from ISOs through the NMT - they're all stored on the storage servers (three of them now - 20T with space for another 25T ready to go 8)). And I can't seem to get ISOs to launch from ML. I have n...

Re: AUGH! Make it PLAY! Yer killin' me, Smalls!

@kgudge, please humor me: what is the ML command you're using to play the ISO? Exactly from the log, if you don't mind. I'm pretty skeptical that ISOs are working through the ML plugin since playing ISO files is not working on any of the commands that people used when this plugin was written - and i...

Re: AUGH! Make it PLAY! Yer killin' me, Smalls!

Touche! (how do I do that e with the little thingy on it?) I read everything I could find here regarding the NMT stuff and the "it works for most things for the moment" is probably the answer for now... but it'd be nice if that were stated rather than guessed at. Dave? Mario? I think the plugin shou...

Re: ISY-99 and PLM

ISY uses a PLM, but it has to have the right firmware. I'm not sure if the firmware requirements are on the Universal Devices forum; but you can probably get the answer there. Note that it may not just be a "newer than this version" factor, but my only work with certain versions. That was the case w...

Re: AUGH! Make it PLAY! Yer killin' me, Smalls!

Another clue - with code for a solution: I was able to get my test ISO to play like this: Code: echo 212 > /tmp/irkey sleep 1 killall mono killall pod killall gaya killall amp_test sleep 1 umount /iso mkdir /iso mount -o loop /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/HARD_DISK/test.iso /iso amp_test /iso --dfb...

Problems. Help!

Everything I'm seeing has been reported by others for days or months. I'm wondering if Cinemar intends to support (or even sell) this plugin. - Regular disconnects - no manual config (only problematic / unreliable UPNP) - lSOs don't play - no advance of features in months Looking at the NMT apps sup...

Re: AUGH! Make it PLAY! Yer killin' me, Smalls!

Ugh. I was suspecting that it's an ISO issue. Glad to know it's not just me, at least (I guess).

Dave, what's our timeline on this issue?

In the mean time, will one of the various plugins available for the unit allow me to build a web-based command to launch them, perhaps? Any idea which one?
