Questions on the DSC driver

Thu Jun 11, 2015 5:54 pm

Hey Dave,

I'm having some problems with my DSC interface and I noticed there is a DSC IT-100 driver now. Can you tell me the difference between this and the DSC driver? I have the IT-100 interface, but I always used the DSC driver with a model of PC4020.

When I installed the IT-100 driver and switched to it all I get is an error in the event log at startup. Can you tell me what this means?

6/11/2015 5:41:24 PM ProcessCommand Cmd=[1~Status] Client=[]
6/11/2015 5:41:24 PM SendCommand Error at SendCommand at line #659 - The given key was not present in the dictionary.

Also, can you tell me if there is any support for the Envisalink EVL-3 Internet module. It's a TCP interface for the DSC panel.

Thanks

The IT-100 implemented a slightly different protocol. Turn on logging on the DSCIT100 driver on startup and restart MLServer. Need to see what it is doing during startup.

As for the EVL-3. If you can point me to a protocol document for it I'm sure a driver is within reach. The panel only supports a handful of commands.

Unfortunately, the two lines I posted earlier are all that I see from the DSC IT-100 driver.

I have determined that my IT-100 card is fried... So I'll be buying a new interface and I'd like to get the EVL-3. The protocol seems to me that it's very close to the DSC command set, only done over a TCP socket.

Yes the protocol is simple. If you purchase the EVL-3 I will have to remote into your system to test the driver.

Not yet. I'm still trying to resolve out Netflix issue. As soon as I get Netflix up and running again I'll do this driver.

Thanks Dave.

Is there any chance there can be a "run MLServer command on zone open" in the driver options with <ZONE NUMBER> as a parameter?

Dave,

Any chance of looking at the MLnetworx driver after you finish with this one?

Install TeamViewer 9 from here. Send me your Team Viewer ID and password. Over the weekend I'll remote in and test the driver. I'll also need to know the IP address for the EVL.
