Frustrated on a timer

Mon May 10, 2010 2:09 pm

My super cool RSS timer script recently stopped working when I upgraded the server to 129 so I spent some time today to investigate.

I went into the timer and the ML command was blank.. OK, well I retyped my super long and complicated command again and didn't think of it.

Now, I restarted the server and sure enough, it is blank AGAIN. I looked in the registry and the command is there! So, what do I do now?

Thank Microsoft on this one.

Go into Regedit and export your entire HKLM\Software\Cinemar registry hive.
After a successful export delete the Cinemar key and everything below it.
Next, import the reqistry you just exported.
See if this fixes the issue.
Do all of this with MLServer not running
If you want to CYA you could just rename the existing Cinemar key after exporting it.
