Setting up a Tablet for use with myServer 6 web templates is easy.
There are differences for Android vs. iOS devices.
Android:
Power up the new tablet. Go through the default configuration instructions for that tablet. Get the tablet on the WiFi network. Update the tablet with all OS updates. Update Chrome browser (you need to be logged into Google Play with your Google account to do this).
Within Chrome, browse to your myServer 6's web address ie: "http://192.168.1.2/mytemplatename" (Enter). Note this will always be lower case. Note, if you don't know the template name, simply navigate to the IP address and a list of the installed templates will be shown to select from.
To load the browser to that link full page, simply click on the triple dots on the top right for Chrome's settings. Then click on "Add to Home Page". This will then create an "app" link on the home page.
To get full screen mode, go into the tablets Settings. Click on "Navigation bar". Select the Left / Stop / Square and the Down arrow row.
Launch Chrome and click your new app link. If myServer is running, you should then see the user interface for your system. You can now click on the bottom left the Navigation bar Minimize button (">") and the template should go full screen. To bring back the Navigation bar, just swip up from the bottom of the screen.
iOS (iPad / iPhone):
Power up the new tablet. Go through the default configuration instructions for that tablet. Get the tablet on the WiFi network. Update the tablet with all OS updates. Oldest iPads (~9.3.5 and older) cannot be upgraded to latest OS and will not work with myServer. Update Safari browser (you need to be logged into iTunes with your iTunes account to do this).
Within Safari, browse to your myServer 6's web address ie: "http://192.168.1.2/mytemplatename" (Enter). Note this will always be lower case. Note, if you don't know the template name, simply navigate to the IP address and a list of the installed templates will be shown to select from.
To load the browser to that link full page, simply click the Favorites button and then click on "Add to Home Screen". This will then create an "app" link on the home page.
Go to your iOS device's Home Page and click your new app link. If myServer is running, you should then see the user interface for your system full screen.
Sometimes, especially if you have made changes to the webserver template using myDesigner 6, or upgraded the template, you may need to clear your browser Cache. To do, so, go to Settings / Safari / Clear history and website data / Clea History and Data. Restart the template URL and all should be fresh again.

Chrome Kiosk Mode On Chrome for Windows
- If you don't use one already, create a shortcut to Chrome on your Desktop.
- Right-click this shortcut and select "Properties".
- From there, select the "Shortcut" tab and the --kiosk command at the end of the Target field. This is where you can also add a particular URL to be launched in Kiosk Mode. Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" http://192.168.1.200/sheertablets --kiosk
Note that this isn't the same as Single-App Kiosk Mode, which is exclusive to Chrome Devices.
You can also zoom out or zoom in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" http://192.168.1.200/sheertablets --force-device-scale-factor=.75 --kiosk
