Add Cable Modem
Add up to Three IR devices to your system. Requires IR hardware, programming labor.
IP2IR Network Adapter supports up to three Infrared devices. Typical use would be to add Cable Box channel control to a Sports Bar system or to control older TVs.
Includes USB power cable, 3 IR stick-on emitters.
Connect the IP2IR Adapter to your network and apply the IR emitter to the device to be controlled. Lookup the device in the myServer 6 device database. That's it!
Wiring flexibility:
myServer 6 controls the iP2IR device via ethernet.
- The IR emitter can be connected directly to the iP2IR hardware (like to control the Cable Box in the same equipment rack)
- Wired via Cat 5/6 cable to the TV with our adapters available
- Plugged into a compatible HDBaseT transmitter. The HDBaseT Cat 5/6 cable distributes the IR to it's HDBaseT Receiver. The IR emitter is then plugged into the Receiver and stuck to the TV IR eyeball.
Programming labor for Allonis to remotely install and configure the IP2IR Adapter to a Sports Bar/Residential system.
Typically used for adding up to three Cable TV receivers to a Sports Bar control system.
Not included: Requires an installer/owner to physically mount the small device on a shelf. Apply power via the USB 110 volt adapter. And connect the IR emitters to the Adapter. Emitters are then stuck to the IR "eyeball" on front of the IR device to control. Duct tape or other should also be applied around the emitter to minimize any IR light leakage that can be picked up by other IR devices nearby. Adapter is also connected to the ethernet computer network and a IP address should be reserved.
