The myIR8 HAT connects to the myServer Pi4 and adds 8 IR device ports to support a myriad of IR devices.
myIR8 HAT Adapter supports up to 8 Infrared devices. Typical use would be to add Cable Box channel control to a Sports Bar system or to control older TVs.
Connect the IP2IR Adapter to your network and connect one of it's IR outputs to the Input of the myIR8. Then connect and apply the IR emitter to the device to be controlled. Lookup the device in the myServer 6 device database. You can stack up to six myIR8's to one myServer 6 Pi4 controller.
The myIR8 system adds 10 total ports @ $35 per port! For larger IR control systems, choose or add the myIR16 which is 1U rack mount @ 41 per port.
myServer 6 controls the myIR8 HAT via GPIO connection to the Raspberry Pi4 (used in most of Allonis's Sports Bar control systems).
- The IR emitters can be connected directly to the iP2IR hardware (like to control the Cable Box in the same equipment rack)
- Wired via Cat 5/6 cable to the TV with our adapters available
- Plugged into a compatible HDBaseT transmitter. The HDBaseT Cat 5/6 cable distributes the IR to it's HDBaseT Receiver. The IR emitter is then plugged into the Receiver and stuck to the TV IR eyeball.
Required: myServer 6 PI4 controller, Rack mount upgrade, one IP2IR network adapter in the system.
Note: Picture is not of myIR8 but indicative of mounting method of a "Hat".
