Feature Descriptions

TV rotation:  This can be used to repurpose some non video wall TVs up side down to make the margins in the middle tighter.  Rotation can also be used for Landscape (standard TV) vs. Portrait (for Digital Signage)

4k30 vs. 4k60:  Faster screen refresh - good for fast moving sports or home theaters where video quality is important

CEC control:  Ability to turn on / off a TV from myServer with no additional Category cable to the TV for Control.

IR / Serial:  Ability for myServer to "tell" the Decoder to send appropriate IR or serial message for TV Control.

Fiber: Send data over an optical fiber.  Good for large systems when connection distances are long.  Multiple Fiber switches can also be daisy chained so that the switch to Decoder distance is shorter (via VLAN Trunk connection).

myPreview / Customer Listening:  myServer supports unique features to display the video or audio via a web browser without additional hardware.  Reduces cost, increases reliability, decreases installation time for these feature rich systems.

AES67:  myServer has the ability to grab the audio channel from a Video Over IP content signal, and convert that to AES67 compatible streams that can be converted to analog audio by our new DSP444 / 448 / 4428 audio matrices.  If you have audio that needs to travel lots of distance - like across the building or campus, this is the trick.

1 Transceiver:  The hardware can be converted from Encoder use to Decoder.  So, the one extra can be a spare for either use.

Speed:  When you change from "2x2 mode" to "1x1" big TV mode - how fast does it transition?

Require Video Controller: some video over IP systems require an extra box to aid the control of the system.  Our 925/ 935s do not.  One less thing to purchase and install.

Require L3 switches:  L3 switches are more expensive.  But they add the capability of creating VLANs for AES67 or Video Over IP or Control.  Very flexible networking.  Not trivial to configure though.

We recommend not mixing IPX925 as the encoder and IPM925 as the decoder. This is because the IPX925 encoding signal network port has 1000Mbps resources, while the IPM925 has 100Mbps resources. The high-bandwidth encoding signal, when decoded by the low-bandwidth IPM925, will cause resource overload and lead to network congestion (a deadlock).
Solutions:
1. Do not mix them. Use IPX925 for both encoding and decoding, or use IPM for both (the best solution is not to mix them).
2. If you must use both, use IPM925 for encoding and IPX925 for decoding.
