Homeseer Driver

Is there a driver available to integrate with my Homeseer HA system?

Im curious about this too. I could only get it to work with home assistant, get commands dont even work. David, not sure if you ever tried Get commands? My homeseer and allonis are on two different subnets, although not firewalled.

David,If your homeseer and Allonis are on the same ip network can you try to control a light from the Server Command tester and see if it works? It would be the same command but change your ip to that of your homeseer, and you would need to find the reference of one of your lights. (If you know this already sorry for writing it out....) The value 0 should turn the light off.

I control the majority of my Homeseer environment using tablets running HS Touch. For the limited amount of control I need from my SmartRemote, I eschew using any driver and just use the http JSON commands. The Homeseer JSON commands also allow you to trigger events, interrogate device states and other useful stuff.

aa6hv, so they do work for you that way? Are you using Get or Post? figured it was something on my setup but havent had more time to troubleshoot yet.

I am using http gets. Getting the status of something is a little bit trickier that running an event, or turning on or off a device.

The http string I am using to get a status is (obviously your locations will be different):

http://<ip address>/JSON?request=getstatus&ref=123&location1=Utility&location2=Virtual

You do need to parse the return information. I dumped it out to figure out how to parse it.

You probably have this setup already, but setting a fixed IP address for the Homeseer server helps.

One advantage of using http JSON is that I can use the same commands for other applications (such as the Android Tasker application). Which is why putting those commands into the SmartRemote was so easy for me.

I am still on HS3, the HS4 JSON should be similar, but there could be some changes.
