If you have an issue, report that on the forum. We post back (like the Tizen update that messed with power handling in this thread) that it was addressed. And the OP advised that it resolved that condition.
In general, keep your system up to date without stomping on your customizations. All software components need to be updated as many rely on other components to fully work. If nothing changes, then everything should continue to work without doing anything update wise. The problem in this thread is Samsung decided to upgrade over the air their firmware and screwed up their already screwy turn on logic. So Allonis had to make a change in the driver. If the TV had firmware auto updates turned off, then it would have continued to work as it has for thousands of Samsung TVs we support in bars / restaurant and home projects.
