One of the benefits of the Allonis Remote Programming service is that we can do most all updates without the cost of travel.
So, how does it work?
Let's look at the most common update: Adding or Replacing a TV in a SportsBar that already has myServer 6 control system installed and working
The integrator should ensure that the TV to be used is compatible with myServer 6 control system. Generally most all Sony, LG and Samsung are.
We would need a floorplan update to know where the new TV is, it's new TV number and it's orientation.
We would need the configuration spreadsheet updated with the TV IP / MAC address. If the TV isn't installed and networked already, then the MAC address can be sent after it is networked.
After the TV is installed, you apply power and network connect the TV. Set it's Permanent IP address and turn on External Control in the TV menu using the TVs original remote control.
If Dynamic IP is the chosen means, then set your DHCP Server for the TV MAC's permanent IP address.
After we update the floorplan and the configuration code, then the new TV will have to be authenticated with you accepting the token using the TVs handheld remote control.
And that should do it.
It's about an hour of work. The more projects are done in one update, the more efficient (ie: the less costly).
