For most Sony BluRay players that support IP (ethernet) control.

Use Infrared hardware and myServer drivers for non ethernet BluRay players.

Add the Sony X1000 driver from myServer's Software Updater.

In the Sony X1000 driver:

AddPlayer

SonyX1000|AddTV~Name~Address~MACAddress~Room

where "Name" is a unique, simple name so you know what device it is.

"Address": the IP address of the player

"MacAddress": The MAC address of the ethernet NIC (you can find this on your router)

"Room": Assign this to an established room configured in myServer.

 

Device type should be "BluRay".

 

On the Player: set remote device renderer to ON

You should be able to issue commands from the Driver's Command Builder.
