Allonis has recently moved our cloud webserver to a new host. Part of that move changed how myServer updates / myInstaller receive software updates.
We have published a myInstaller and myServer 5 versions that point to the new cloud webserver.
To install:
Make sure both myServer 5 and myInstaller are closed and not running.
First download the installer using the link below.
https://www.allonis.com/downloadables/myInstaller_Setup.exe
And then the server from the following
https://www.allonis.com/downloadables/myServer_Setup.exe
Go to your downloads folder and right-click on the Installer and select “Run As Administrator” and follow the prompts. Do NOT upgrade the newtonsoft software even when suggested. Also double check your install path to ensure you aren't installing myServer as a sub folder within the existing myServer folder.
Once both of these are installed you should be back to normal.
You will note that the versions aren't displaying correctly in myInstaller...don't worry, a near future update will fix this issue.
As always, good practice is to disable / uninstall any plugins or applications that aren't working any longer or are not needed. Examples include Amazon and Netflix applications. If there is an error in the log, diagnose and eliminate those errors.
The above will provide a stable myServer 5 environment again. Allonis does expect that once myServer 6 is ready for DIY use, that the majority of myServer 5 users will upgrade as they did from myServer 4. But, if nothing changes in your system needs, then myServer 5 should perform just as it did before.
Note that Allonis has used myServer 6 in many commercial installations across the last 5 years with fantastic reliability and performance. It will be the only version of myServer that will be supported after the latest myServer 5 releases.
