Ecobee thermostats are popular, cloud connected climate control devices. myServer 6 connects to your cloud account and receives status of the thermostat and allows for remote operation.
Create an Ecobee online account
Login
Register your thermostat.
Install the Ecobee driver from myServer Software Updater
Go to the Ecobee Driver and click Configure
At the bottom of the driver webpage, click Authorize
You will see a 4 digit - 4 digit ID. Copy that.
Go back to the Ecobee website. Login.
Click on Top right on the "Hamburger Menu" (with the person icon)
Click on "My Apps" link
Click on "Create New"
Click Add Application
Enter the 4 digit - 4 digit PIN code in the field
Click "Validate"
You should then see a success message.
Go back to myServer ecobee driver.
Run the GetDevices command. This will poll the Ecobee cloud with the 4 digit - 4 digit token and return all thermostats registered in the My Apps. myServer will then create the new thermostat device.
You can test by running a thermostat command.
The default Climate webpages should display your selected thermostat temp and the buttons should be able to change temperature set points.
