Volume Variable not updating

This is so weird - the new vol_db variable is not showing up for the Denon AVR I've been troubleshooting (Theater) and the pre-existing volume variable still remains static at 50 regardless of any changes to the volume.  However, on my other Denon AVR (Family Room) everything works great!  The new variable appears and everything is responsive to volume changes.

I have no idea why the Denon AVR (Theater) seems to be disconnected from the variables but presumably I screwed something up with my tinkering.  Unless anyone has other ideas, I think I will delete the devices and reinstall the driver to see if a fresh load fixes it.  Thanks again for all the help.


Edit: Removing and reinstalling the driver fixed it - everything's working now.  Dave - thank you so much for the help. This is looking great!

Thanks Dave! Since you are soliciting feedback in this thread I'm copying the relevant part I posted in the other thread where this has been discussed here instead.

is it possible to have the system append a .0 to integer values for the volume variables? So instead of the volume being recognized as 25 it is saved as 25.0? The way it is now is making things messy with the volume level indicator on my remote screen as it cycles through the volume levels. If I leave the alignment for the volume variable centered in the middle of a button it makes it hard to read the volume level because the numbers are constantly shifting around to account for the decimal place appearing/disappearing. If I set the alignment to the left it isn't very aesthetically pleasing, plus I have ".5" constantly flashing on and off if I hold down one of the volume buttons.

Basically, I'd like to see the volume level as follows: 25.0, 25.5, 26.0, 26.5, etc. Currrently the cadence is 25, 25.5, 26, 26.5, etc.

All drivers will now show dbs with trailing .0s

Stormaudio driver has been released. Like with all drivers I cannot test locally I will have to remote in to troubleshoot any issues.
