Sources & Apps not showing up in the dashboard? was created by stocks109
Hello,
I have MyServer set up (users, rooms, etc). Can connect to it without issue from my PC. Also have various drivers for my devices installed. I can see the devices in the Drivers screen.
However, under Sources & Apps nothing is displayed. If I go to Create New Source (app) I'll enter the appropriate info but, again, nothing actually gets created. Clicking on save does nothing.
Any ideas on what is going on?

Make sure your Driver devices are assigned to the right rooms.Hello,

Yea, I just checked and the driver devices are assigned to the proper room.
BTW, I see the Sources and Apps by room section and I do see my room in there. But I don't see a way to view the sources located in that, specific, room.

Briefly, you add rooms, you add devices, you add rooms to your devices.
If the device has a supported webpage (like Roku) then you should see the Roku app tile on the SmartRemote UI AFTER you have selected that room.
Many devices do not today have webpages. Like a TV. Or a Projector. The assumption is why does someone need to do something on a webpage to control a TV? Your rooms Power On macros will tell the TV to turn on...but that doesn't need a webpage specific for that purpose.
Now projectors brings in some other challenges like "changing the lens". A user (Graydon) built his own custom webpage to control his theater, including the lens options for his JVC projector.
Now, we will be building out additional webpages for some of these devices when time permits.
We all need to make sure we are following the much more detailed installation instructions to the "T".
don't assume because you are a "linux expert" that you can do stuff the way you always have done. The system is going multiple steps behind the scenes so it has to be done the way the documentation says to do things. After you really are expert with myServer...sure, have fun!
This is by far the largest issue folks have been having.
