Things have gone very quiet in Allonis land.  I'm hoping it is because you guys/gals are neck deep in new and exciting stuff for us to play with.  Is there anything you could share with us?

Just wondering :-)

It is usually bad ju ju for a company to tell us what they are working on. Some customers will get incensed when it is not their highest priority feature that they want, it is not exactly what their desire is, feel betrayed when the idea does not pan out and is canceled, or it is taking way too long to release. Besides giving any competition a heads up on what's coming.

Usually much better to wait until its ready before releasing details.

Yes and No.... When you have limited resources, (I'm assuming Allonis is not flush with developers), having some feedback on what is important can help shape development cycles. The people on this forum are super active and super engaged. We become a perfect "focus group".

I do agree, don't promise what you cannot deliver, that leads to a bad customer experience.

Except I get the impression that we home users of SmartRemote and myServer are small beans compared to their main income from providing a full service to sports bars. So they naturally get the most attention.

I also believe that we are a tiny aspect of the overall business. I'm OK with that as they were up front with me about their priorities from the get go. I don't expect that the SmartRemote is going to be abandoned or anything but I have the impression that it's not going to receive any significant new features, at least not anytime soon.

I don't agree that it's bad ju ju to tell your customers/prospective customers what you're working on. Actually, I think it's almost mandatory nowadays in order to maintain mindshare and a positive relationship with your potential clientele. I'm not suggesting that any company should be making extravagant promises (unless they know 100% that they can deliver), but radio silence is rarely a good strategy in today's world.

What enhancements would you like? As you have seen, we turn around Wants typically very efficiently. I don't remember any open wants with the exception of a few drivers that few have been interested in.
