When you issue commands from the web based dashboard then the clientname variable is going to be "dashboard-fx-wxyz". When you issue the macro from your remote then the clientname variable will be "smartremote1". So if you really want to see that macro work you'll need to issue it from the smart remote itself. There is no way for you to set the clientname manually in the server variables.

Just noticed that the Allonis Macro I showed above got munged by this board. Let me try it this way:
Code:
GetUrl|http://192.168.0.80/JSON?request=runevent&groupname=<p1>&name=<p2>

Thank you for the advice about using the actual variable names. That's how I even got the remote to work at all. I'll stick with it and change it if necessary later. Also, thank you for the Homeseer command. I'll work on that after I get the remote working my AV equipment.

I was testing and finding that the macro wasn't running commands in order. During the testing, I had a lot of code commented out, so I could just test portions, and that turned out to be an issue. I got it working. Thanks to everyone who contributed. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions soon.
