Directv still not responding to Smartremote.  Directv will respond directly to driver under drivers in Dashboard.

OK.  Some weird progress here.  At the Directv keypad entry screen and I enter a channel directly by number, no go.  If I touch TV listings I get a list of channels and I can successfully go to any of them.  Help.

I tried to configure my smart remote. Now I get this screen.
Can't get around it.

Looks like you don't have the Smartremote settings pointed to the smartremote folder or that the smartremote folder doesn't exist.
You HAVE to follow the configuration instructions line for line. You must have missed some.

Got it. thanks. . I need to make a change to a network setting on the smartremote. How to I interrupt the start routine?

Try long-pressing on the "..." button and you might get a screen that allows you to "setup wifi, exit smartremote, or change settings".
