Documentation

Hi all. I wonder if it would be useful to have a 'Documentation' topic here in the forum? I know it's a work in progress but might it help to have a central place to collect reports of broken links, missing images etc.? Or should we just wait and assume it will get better?

One thing I'm afraid I have to say now is how annoying the documentation browser at  allonis.com/support/documentation is. You poke around the tree on the left looking for something, and as soon as you find some content and click on it the tree completely closes again and you've no idea where it was you were looking and you have to repeat the treasure hunt all over again. It would be much more useful if the tree maintained its state when you click on an entry.

I agree, trying to navigate the documentation is very cumbersome. I get that it's a work in progress and I'm ok with that when it comes to the actual content, but just the navigation makes it almost impossible to use.

I am waiting for my remote and thought I'd start reading some of the documentation because the videos leave me with more questions than when I started. Then I come to documentation and again I have more questions than answers.

 

yes, believe it or not, this is like the 5th different web component we have tried for documentation....if only we could write all software....USPS website is TERRIBLE!!!! been fighting that all week.

We are putting final touches on the rollout documentation. Hopefully that will be easier.

I just got my Shelf Myserver and SmartRemote.  The documentation I got for the DeskPi Pro instruction manual is for the kit version.  Is there a starting section in that manual that I can use for setting up Myserver or is there a link to somewhere where I can start setting up the Myserver?
