You can certainly manually create an Overlay that has your channel icons in "buttons" that have the channel icon graphic and are programmed to change to the specific channel.
To automatically do that, that's the role of the optional TVGuide application which essentially does that PLUS the current playing now information.

David, I still have two main issues with Harmony integration:
Many thanks,
Ben
- The Harmony Hub periodically becomes disconnected from the server. A reboot of the server seems to fix it. My router is set to auto reboot at 5am daily, I wonder whether this daily router reboot is to blame - however have the Harmony set up with a static IP so I don't see why it should be a problem, but it does seem to be the primary culprit. David - can you tell me how I create an Automation to reboot myserver at (say) 5.30am every day?
- I still have not found a solution to the remote trying to autoload the Harmony scene when I activate a Harmony device or activity. Is it possible for you to amend the driver to create a command to activate a device or activity without causing the remote to load the Harmony scene
Many thanks,
Ben

You shouldn't have to restart the server.
But the command to do that is simply "Restart" (how novel!)
You can set an automation event to trigger that at a particular time
Lets take a look at the Harmony driver again on your system. This week.

Thanks, this is all very much appreciated. Screenshot attached for the automation - is this syntax correct?
Appreciate the help with the Harmony driver.
Also do let me know if there is a solution re the remote attempting to autoload the Harmony scene on activation of activity.

Did you try to set the trigger for 1 minute from now and let it run to see if it works, then if so, reset to the time you want. I don't have syntax memorized like DaveP does

My syntax above was correct (I set it for one minute later and the server did indeed reboot). Thanks for that.
Today the Hub remains working... Will post here again if it drops off.
Meanwhile, re my comment as to the Harmony activation command auto loading the Harmony scene - could there be a solution to this? That issue is now the single biggest bar I have to having a fully customised Harmony replacement.
I have a customised Home screen which lists all my activites. Clicking on one (for example 'watch Virgin cable on the TV') runs this Macro:
Macro|activate-source.hub at 192.168.68.56-harmonyactivity-virgin on tv!loadscene|virgin
75% of the time, my custom scene 'Virgin' loads up with all my custom layout and buttons (perfect).
25% of the time that fails and instead I get the generic Harmony scene with the autopopulated soft buttons (not what I want).
Please can you look into creating a new command 'activate-source-noscene' (?) which activates the activity/device but does NOT attempt to load the Harmony scene...
I've posted this request several times now - this would make a huge difference.
Thanks again
