I just release an update to the Harmony driver.
Notable Changes:
1) Polling will now also check for Authenticated and well as Connected. If not connected it will try to reconnect and authenticate. If it is not authenticated it will close the session and then attempt to reconnect and authenticate.

2) For users with multiple Harmony hubs it is possible to have the same activity and device names on each hub. The old version of the driver did not properly handle the duplicate names and would not create activation macros for any duplicates. Today's driver and server update will correct for this issue.

Finally if you are having connectivity issues turn on verbose event logging in the Harmony driver and let it run until you experience your next Harmony disconnect.  I then want to remote into your system to review the server logs so I can see what the Harmony has been doing.

I only have access to one test Harmony hub so seeing event logs from a live system will be helpful.

Please be aware that today's SmartRemote update will activate button repeats on the volume, channel and cursor keys on the remote. Holding down the buttons will force the remote to send commands until they are released.

I've experienced the disconnect again today. Harmony wasn't working, I restarted the server, Harmony started working again. Then about half an hour later it stopped working again. This is with Harmony driver 6.7.106.42599, myServer 6.7.3260.2670. Attached are logs with verbose logging turned on. I'm afraid they don't show very much except that it lasted just over half an hour before failing.

Your log does show the Hub forcing a disconnect just before it tried the GetConfig. I just modified the Harmony driver and added more robust connectivity checking. Please update to the latest driver and keep verbose logging turned on.

HI David, In reading this thread - I have a question about this statement:

updated Linux, updated smartremote template. You had downloaded the current, but hadn't changed it's name to "smartremote" so it wasn't being put into practice.

I did download the update smartremote-sample template. What is the best way to "update" to the newer template?

I also was wondering how I update my existing smartremote template after I download a new sample template.

Also, should we have the Moonlight templates for phones and tablets?  I don't see them anywhere.
The easiest way to update the folder name of a project folder is to use the myServer controller's HDMI monitor / USB keyboard and mouse and to edit in File Manager.  You can also from a networked PC go to \\192.168.1.X\myServer and edit in the wwwroot directory the file names.  Just copy the downloaded -sample and then delete the suffix -sample if you haven't customized any webpages or add images (both).

the YouTube tutorials for myDesigner also show how you can edit the project folder names using myDesigner.
David,

I hate to beat this dead horse.  The issue is I already have an older template that I renamed smartremote when I first set up MyDesigner.  I downloaded an updated template named smartremote-sample.  The only way I could rename the new template without "sample" is to rename the older one to something different, like smartremote-old.  Is that how I should do this?

Not a dead horse for sure...Live and Kicking!
you can create a "wwwroot/backups" directory and put your old (but maybe customized?) folder in there, and rename the latest smartremote-sample to smartremote
Then you are on the out of the box latest.
You move the old stuff out of wwwroot so they don't consume software licenses needed.

You should also clear Cache in all browsers (including myServer chrome).
You should exit the smartremote.apk and restart it to clear the SmartRemote's cache to load the latest javascript in the new -sample
You can then selectively bring in your custom webpages (kyles-office.html) into the new smartremote project folder.

Note - you can also rename smartremote to "kylehouse" and then use the second SmartRemote Settings connection tab to point to kylehouse folder.  Deselect Default connections so everytime the SmartRemote.apk launches, you choose which connection settings to use (Tab 2 for the example) and you then launch the custom kylehouse project folder.

This time it seems to have gone into a loop of reconnecting and doing a GetConfig (successfully) then reconnecting over and over again. From about 20:00 in the log.

PS I've just restarted myServer and it's back to normal for now.

I still can't get past step one. An autodiscover fails to find my hub.  Cannot understand why not.  As I say, I can ping the hub from the Pi the server is hosted on.  Verbose logging doesn't seem to show anything (it doesn't spit out the result of the Discover cmd).
